Description

A rich and creamy Salmon and Shrimp Alfredo featuring tender fettuccine pasta tossed in a luscious Parmesan and garlic cream sauce, complemented by perfectly cooked flaky salmon and succulent shrimp. This recipe offers a delightful seafood twist on a classic Italian favorite, perfect for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 8 oz fettuccine

Seafood

  • 1 salmon fillet, skinless
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined

Sauce

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Other

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside to be combined later.
  2. Cook Salmon: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper, and cook it for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook Shrimp and Garlic: In the same skillet, add the peeled and deveined shrimp along with minced garlic. Cook for about 3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
  4. Make Alfredo Sauce: Pour the heavy cream into the skillet with the shrimp and garlic, bringing it to a gentle simmer. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts completely and the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Combine Pasta and Seafood: Add the cooked fettuccine, shrimp, and flaked salmon back into the sauce. Toss everything gently to coat the pasta and seafood evenly with the creamy sauce.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot for a delicious seafood Alfredo meal.

Notes

  • For best flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce, but it may not be as rich.
  • Ensure the salmon is cooked just right to prevent it from drying out.
  • Fresh parsley adds a nice color contrast and freshness to the dish.
  • Serve immediately for optimal texture and taste.
